End of week 1 and I'm feeling pretty good about the work I have accomplished this week.
Gym projects Finished: 3/4!
Finished two in the same evening one right after the other and one this afternoon on the next gym day. Not sure I can ask much more than that.
New projects:
5.12A (red): set by one G$ (route setters call sign) as expected has some pretty burly moves small but excellent holds some sloper action, a little bit of something for everyone.
Tried this route for the first time today, didn't finish it, got bit shaky on some of the moves to get to the clipping locations, but next time will be better. Onsighting is always the hardest because you don't know what to expect from the route.
5.11D (Yellow) some flat face climbing, lots of tiny holds and awkward positioning, some really over hanging sections. It's in a part of the gym that is not my favorite because the routes are short and hard.
5.11C (Green) first two moves on a flat section next 5 on a completely back slung , toes in hod on for dear life, next moves are all about balance and keeping your butt into the wall, or hips whichever way you want to say it doesn't matter is gunna be rock hard. ;)
5.11D (white) only left over route from last week. Simply ran out of time and wasn't able to try it more than once last week.
things have been pretty good. My bum foot I decided to stop babying and just suck it up. It will stop hurting when it stops hurting and in the mean time I am tired of waiting on it. "Foot you had 3 months, now it's time to have fun again."
I'm going to try and convince #2 (aka Partner in crime IK) to play tennis with me this week and then it's off to Yosemite for 20 miles of backpacking hiking fabulousness! (No climbing, this time).
